AI Apps preview

Apps turns a governed tool set into a conversational application configuration. The current desktop release provides the builder and local preview; hosted publishing is locked and may require contacting KeyRunner when the capability becomes available.

Build the application

The stepper guides you through four decisions:

1. Foundation - choose a policy or individual tools.
2. Experience - name the application and describe its intended behavior.
3. Model - choose an OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic, or Azure OpenAI provider configuration.
4. Access - describe the intended audience and approval posture.

Bring your own model key

In the Model step, enter the provider endpoint, model, and maximum response tokens. Type {{ in the API-key field to select a variable from the active KeyRunner environment. Use the reveal button only when you need to verify the entered reference or value.

For production, use a KeyRunner secret reference or supported secret store rather than a plain key stored in application configuration.

Preview

Use Preview to validate instructions and model connectivity with the selected governed tools. The preview is for product evaluation and configuration; it does not publish a public application URL.
